This is to the west of Northwich and, for those  traveling from outside the area, will be most easily accessed from the  A49. Please contact Regional Officer Mark Leathwood if you need more specific directions or visit their blog for further information. &lt;a href="http://chespac.blogspot.com/"&gt;LINKY&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They have the use of a beautifully appointed function room which is  absolutely ideal for their purposes and the meetings will take place on  the evening of the first Monday in every month from 7.30 pm onwards  (please note the change of day from last season when they met on a  Thursday).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unfortunately they have been unable to arrange a meeting  for September so will begin the season in October. First to grace their stage will be &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span id="post_message_41020880"&gt;well known expert Dave Horton, who will give his  much-acclaimed talk on those 20 and 30 pounders that have breached the  landing net ftom just about every type of venue that holds pike. This talk will take place on  Wednesday September the 8th, from 7.30pm. This talk will have half the proceeds going to a  cancer charity for John's late friend and lure legend Charlie Bettell.&lt;br /&gt;The  venue and entry fee will be announced later on, so keep an eye out for  details which will be posted here. But for now stick this one in your diary, it's looking like it will be a  cracking evening.&lt;br /&gt;John will be talking about his 45lb'er no doubt,  along with the other huge fish to have graced his net over the years; plus spinning some of his famous yarns about other anglers he's met in  the boat and on the banks on the Broads. Ive managed to procure the services of some very interesting and diverse speakers this winter, so there should be something to appease all tastes.&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 1st September : Mark Salt of the National Angulla Club. Mark will be imparting his knowledge of the enigma that is anguilla anguilla&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 6th October : John "Watto" Watson. One of the all time great pike anglers, and author of the iconic tome " A Pikers Progress"&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 3rd November : Chris Leibbrandt. Chris has held the highest office in the PAC and the LAS, was the original RO of the Old Dartford PAC region, and can only be described as the Chris Yates of the Piking World&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 1st December : Mike Green Mike is a highly successful fly angler, catching a large amount of big pike on the fly, the most recent being the amazing 40lb 8oz fish from Chew&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 5th January : TBC&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 2nd February : Eric Edwards : Eric is a very successful and innovative all round angler, and the captor of the biggest brace of pike ever taken by a UK angler&lt;br /&gt;Tuesday 2nd March : Mark Phillips. The venue remains unchanged - being the Ely Beet section of the river Great Ouse near Ely. The usual rules apply with dead-baiting and lure fishing only, and with a maximum of 2 rods in use at any time. The likely cost will also remain unchanged at &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;£15.00&lt;/span&gt; per person and with an optional pool of &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;£5.00&lt;/span&gt; per angler.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The fishing will be from 9am until 3pm, with the draw taking place at the Ely Beet Sports and Social Club from 7am onwards. There will of course be a raffle on the day and anglers will have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets on the bank from the Marie Curie team.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is likely that the number of anglers taking part will be restricted to no more than 120 so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
